Taylor Swift & Katy Perry Hug It Out In 'You Need To Calm Down' Music Video

OMG! OMG! OMG! Taylor Swift just released the music video for her latest single, "You Need to Calm Down" — and we're happy to reveal Katy Perry makes a cameo!

Monday (June 17) marked the premiere for Swift's star-studded visual, which features surprise appearances from a bevy of stars like Ellen DeGeneres, Adam Lambert, Adam Rippon, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Laverne Cox, Hayley Kiyoko, Toderick Hall, Ciara Ryan Reynolds, Hannah Hart, RuPaul, Billy Porter, A'keria Davenport, Adore Delano, Delta Work, Jade Jolie Jesse, Trinity K Bonet, Trinity Taylor, Tatianna, Riley Knox-Beyoncé, Justin Mikita, Chester Lockhart, Dexter Mayfield, and Queer Eye cast members Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Tan France and Bobby Berk.

Yet no one — and we mean NO ONE! — was prepared for Swift and Perry's surprisingly adorable reunion, when the friends find each other (wearing totally appropriate costumes) in the final moments of the video.

The political concept for the free-spirited, LGBTQ-friendly visualization centralizes on love, pride, and equality, as evidenced in the call-to-action Swift appends to the end of her video in support of the Equality Act: "Let's show our pride by demanding that, on a national level, our laws truly treat all of our citizens equally."

The all-inclusive visual comes mere days after Swift announced the track's release on Thursday (June 13) in tandem with the name and artwork of her upcoming seventh studio album, Lover, due out August 23. "You Need to Calm Down" marks the second single off the record after the 29-year-old's mega-hit "ME!" featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco took Swifties by storm when it premiered back in April.

As we previously reported, Swift's Lover will feature 18 brand-new tracks and will include four deluxe editions, each complete with its own unique content.

There's still so much to be known about Swift's new record, but fans have speculated that her former rival, Katy Perry, will have a collaboration on the project (perhaps titled "Peace At Last") after the "Swish Swish" songstress shared a snap Instagram of a plate of cookies with the location tag, "Let's Be Friends," signaling the duo's longtime feud is officially over.
