Globe Life Field in Texas Is Doing Drive-In Concerts This Summer

When life deals you COVID-19, you pack up the pickup and go to a drive-in concert. Or four. The Concert in Your Car event will be going down this summer at Globe Life Field.

They're doing four nights in a row, from June 4th through the 7th. Eli Young Band will kick it off . . . and then it's Whiskey Myers. . .Pat Green. . . with the final night being the Josh Abbott Band and Kevin Fowler.

Attendance will be capped at 400 cars occupying every other parking spot. The artists will perform on stage with the audio piped-in through a designated FM frequency. Or, just roll down your window. There will be jumbo screens too.

It'll run you $40 per vehicle, so pack your friends in like sardines. But don't go expecting to run wild. You'll have to stay inside your car and follow the CDC social distancing guidelines. There's no tailgating, grilling, or standing on your truck bed.

They won't be selling food either, so bring your own wings and adult beverages, if you're over 21. In fact, the only time you can leave your car is to use the facilities, and those will be disinfected after each use.
